		<description>Michael -

This is good stuff. It&#039;s good to hear what you go through because I have always felt I spent way too much time preparing for (or worrying over) my own speaking engagements.

For 10 years, I taught a course and gave workshops in direct marketing and although my material was essentially the same each time out, I found myself constantly changing the presentation - always tweaking it.

One piece of advice for others reading this, if you are speaking to a new audience, give a question or two to the person introducing you to help get things started. Many times, people are reluctant to ask the first question.

Thanks, Michael, for the tips.

<description>I&#039;m teaching a &quot;lits&quot; workshop in the fall at a writer&#039;s conference and these seven steps have helped me organize key things I need to do for a fluid presentation.

I like speaking in front of people IF I&#039;m prepared.

Thanks for the post!

Rachel

		<description>Michael -

I want to let you know your blog has had a positive impact. I guess i sub consciously do many of the suggestions you put forth, but based on my readings i have made it my approach more process oriented.

Is there an email ID i can communicate with you on?

Thank you
