Hi Michael,

You said you are no Pollyanna, but I think you would prefer everyone to live in "Glad town." What a life!

Cheers,

Wealth is the power to believe that God exists, that His love is absolute, that Jesus Christ succeeded in demolishing the wall Satan built between God and the human race, that we can be born again through and be baptized with the Holy Spirit, that God can make good where evil was within each of us through the baptism of fire, and that we will overcome the kingdom of evil and death through the second coming of Jesus Christ.

This is a wonderful article that reminds us that priorities are extremely important in life. Values that put PEOPLE before money, in my opinion will literally save the human race from self destruction. Pursuit of Health, Wealth and true Happiness can be acheived by getting our priorities straight when it comes to this very simple idea. At the same time I believe a healthy approach to money and the stock market can now be acheived by most of us simply by enhancing our personal knowledge about the market and taking a more proactive role in directly managing our own portfolio's rather than relying on others to do it for us.

I don't know if you'll see this, so long after you first posted it, but if you do, thank you! You echoed my own thoughts.

I admit to having become pretty anxious, as the economy continued to tank (and I know it isn't over, yet). But I decided I would not live in that anxiety, because God has always taken care of us and always will.

My husband and I own a small land-survey business; we're the only employees, and it's been an extraordinarily successful business. Our income took a serious hit, in 2008--down about 45% from 2007--but it's still been a very good income. Unsteady, with clients slow to pay, but still good. After year-end, I gave my husband a brief year-end report, which he used in calculating our net worth. He was sad that it had dropped so much, but I told him the dollar figures were no measure of our true worth.

What do we have? A love neither of us has ever known before; a 20-year anniversary (tomorrow) to be celebrated by renewing our solemn vows. We are each other's best friend and companion.

We have a growing, transforming relationship with God. We've been blessed on so many levels and take seriously our responsibility--and joy!--to pass along the blessings to others.

I won't steal your platform any longer, but I thank you, again, for this post. May God bless us all in surprising ways, this year, and shows us more ways to bless those who need it.

Hello there -

So glad I stumbled upon this enlightening and inspiring website. It was your comments on how to start a blog site that brought me here, but it is your perspective on life the keeps me coming back. Thank you for the excellent commentary.

Michael,

You paint your perfect moment in such vivid colors that we're there--and then you give us a listen, too. Thanks, also, for pointing to the Giver of all the gifts that surround us all the time. What a reminder to open our eyes--now! When I linked back to your February post it blessed me all over again. Thanks for always being worth the read.

Michael,

I've been following you on Twitter after seeing your bio from among those Thom Rainer was following. I enjoyed this post. My first time to your blog. You can say that I found it on Twitter! I've been able to generate considerable traffic to my blog with this social marketing tool. Glad to know you are staying abreast of the latest communication technology.
