Book Notes: Same Kind of Different As Me

Last year, our book club decided to read The Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. It was one of the best books we read all year. (I also listened to the audio version while I was running.)

If you are reading this post via email or an RSS
reader and can’t see this video, then click here.

The book is the inspiring story of what happens when a wealthy Dallas art dealer and a poor homeless drifter become friends. The book has been on the New York Times bestsellers list for more than 60 weeks. The Amazon detail page for the book has more than 300 reader reviews. The average? Five stars. That tells you everything you need to know.

By the way, Ron and Denver are coming out with a new book this fall: What Difference Do It Make? I can’t wait to read it!

Question: Have you read Same Kind of Different As Me? What impact did it have on you?

Would love to have heard credit given to the collaborative writer, Lynn Vincent, who was the one who made the book as good as it is… :-)

This book just traveled with me on vacation to Wisconsin. It was a highlight of the trip. Very, very powerful true story of relationships, love and caring. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I couldn't put it down!
