On the Value of Adversity

Do not fear the conflict. Do not flee it. Where there is no struggle, there is no virtue. Where love and faith are not tempted, it is not possible to be sure whether they are really present. They are tried and revealed in adversity, in difficult and grievous circumstances.”

God makes me laugh so hard sometimes! This has been the theme of my weekend – prayer, conversations, an interview I heard on the radio this morning, even a couple of the songs in church. Just more confirmation that He is indeed at work in my life, stretching me and growing me through my current (and frankly, crappy) circumstances. And that He has a sense of humor.

Plans often change, but the vision should remain the same. Therefore, as a leader, you should be stubborn in maintaining your vision but flexible in adjusting your plans. (my paraphrase)”
