4 Reasons to Join Platform University Now (Before the Price Goes Up)

I can’t believe it’s been almost nine months since we launched Platform University. It has been more successful than I could have imagined. The feedback from our members has been stellar.

We extended the introductory price of $25 a month longer than we initially planned. However, the price is going up to $30 a month on Friday, September 13. Until then, you can still get in at the old price and save $60 a year!

Platform University is specifically designed to help you launch your platform or build it faster than you could on your own. If you want more visibility for your product, service, cause, or brand, this opportunity is for you.

Our members include:

  • Authors, Speakers, and Publishers
  • Social Media Managers
  • Small Business Owners
  • Business Executives
  • Bloggers and Podcasters
  • Mortgage Brokers
  • Real Estate Agents and Sales Professionals
  • Online Marketers
  • Pastors and Church Planters

Each month, they receive the inspiration, training, and resources they need to succeed while avoiding the most common—and costly—mistakes.

Here are the four benefits you’ll enjoy, beginning on the first day you join.

  1. Practical Training from World-Class Experts. Each month, we deliver a brand new video Master Class with a world-renown platform-builder. So far, we’ve learned from Dave Ramsey, Amy Porterfield, Jeff Goins, Ray Edwards, Stu McLaren, and Andrew Buckman. I have also taught a few sessions.

We have some amazing Master Classes planned in the months ahead. You won’t want to miss these sessions. You’ll also have access to the ones from the last seven months.

  2. Direct Access to Me. One of the reasons I created Platform University was so I could go deeper with those who were ready. Each month I take you backstage (via video) and share some aspect of my own business with you. I share the workflows, tools, and resources I use to lead my tribe and run my business.

In addition, I host a monthly live conference call with our members. This is your opportunity to get your specific questions answered and learn from everyone else. I also participate in the discussion forums as I am able.

  3. Support from a Community of Fellow Travelers. Building your platform can feel lonely at times, which is why we have placed a high value on community and creating opportunities for our members to interact with one another.

I have loved watching our Discussion Forums take off. They are a safe place to share your victories, challenges, and setbacks. This is also a great place to gain insight and inspiration from the collective wisdom of serious platform-builders like yourself.

We also provide special discounts and early access to the Platform Conference, Get Noticed! Theme for WordPress, and my other products, along with special perks and bonuses that aren’t available outside the membership.

  4. A Ridiculously Low Price. When I launched Platform University, I wanted to make it affordable to anyone who was serious about building their platform. I wanted to empower as may people as possible to get noticed. That’s why we have held the price to $25 a month until now.

However, we can no longer justify keeping it this low—what we provide inside the membership is just too valuable. The price is going up to $30 a month on Friday, September 13th.

Until then, you can still get in at current price—and you’ll never pay more, no matter how much the price goes up in the future. But remember, you must join before Friday, September 13th.

Platform University is not for everyone. But if you are serious about launching your platform or taking it to the next level, you can’t afford to miss this opportunity. And keep in mind, there is no risk. You can cancel your membership at any time.

This is, hands-down, the #1 resource for Platform-builders. (And I would say that even if I wasn’t in the video!)

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

      Thanks, Ray. You rock!

    • http://www.MicheleCushatt.com/ Michele Cushatt

Haha. But the fact that you ARE in the video totally rocks. ;)

    • chutchison

Hey Ray! I am going to be at SCOORE. I look forward to meeting you in person! Your Podcast is on my short list! (I have P.A.S.T.O.R. printed out above my workstation.)

      • http://rayedwards.com/about/ Ray Edwards

Thanks – I look forward to seeing you there!

  • http://taylormarshall.com/ Dr. Taylor Marshall

I’m a member of Platform U and I love it.

Highly recommended. I’ve learned a lot.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks, Taylor! I appreciate your support.

    • http://www.MicheleCushatt.com/ Michele Cushatt

What’s been the most helpful feature for you, Taylor?

      • http://taylormarshall.com/ Dr. Taylor Marshall

I love the Master Classes. They aren’t too long and they aren’t too short. They give you great info squeezed into a short bit of time. I can watch one in the morning or after I put the kids down to bed.

Also, Michael is very responsive in the Forums (he answered me personally several times). That’s a nice touch of “Wow factor” as Michael promotes.
I’ll see you at Platform Dallas!

        • http://www.MicheleCushatt.com/ Michele Cushatt

Nice. Great testimonial, Taylor. See you in November!

  • http://thejoshcollins.com/ Josh Collins

Michael, first of all, no one can deny you do in fact provide great content and are very generous in your approach. I’ve been debating whether to join since Platform came out and it sounds like now might be the time. Quick question for you though, as a member, is past content still made available?

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Yes, right now it is. That may change in the future, but everything is available now.

  • http://bloggingyourpassion.com/ Jonathan Milligan

Hey guys. I’ve been in the university since its inception. Besides the great content, I’ve been able to connect with platform builders who hold to the same values I do. Can’t put a price tag on that.

We’ve even formed a Mastermind group that meets weekly via Google Hangouts that has been going strong for 9 months now. Currently, we are working through the Platform book as a group and holding each other accountable to take action on this stuff! Get in now…

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

I especially appreciate the initiative you have taken, Jonathan, to form the Mastermind. Fabulous!

      • http://www.lindalochridge.com/ Linda Lochridge Hoenigsberg

I’m just plain envying that group!

  • http://markstruczewski.com/ Mark Struczewski

I joined on August 27th and one of the things I love about Platform University is that I was able to download all the Master Classes, Q&A Calls and Member Make Overs audios so I can listen to them on my iPhone when I am out mountain bike riding every day (as of yesterday, I’ve ridden 2,175 miles..and yes, I am safe when doing this). The information is so valuable. I belong to a professional speaker’s association but find a lot of their content is at 30,000 feet. Platform University is at 6 feet…information we can use today right now! Thank you, @mhyatt:disqus!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

I love the 30,000 foot vs. 6 foot metaphor. That’s exactly what we are aiming at.

  • http://www.livebeyondawesome.com/ Jen McDonough “The Iron Jen”

Authors, coaches, speakers, consultants or anyone else looking to build their platform will want to get connected with Platform University. Content packed value put that will help you take your platform to the next level all in one place. Michael and his team over deliver when it comes to creating relevant content on consistent basis. Small investment to drive you to the next level.
    Jen

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks, Jen. I appreciate your kind words.

  • http://www.knowledgequestmaps.com/ Terri Johnson

I joined Platform University the day it opened, I believe. Along with Michael’s book Platform, Platform University has really helped me to laser focus my energy in defining my niche, understanding their needs and wants, and delivering “wow” material in several different formats. I especially love the backstage passes. I really enjoy seeing how someone like Michael gets it all done behind the scenes. Michael is an inspiration, but I have come to love Joy, Stu, Meghan and the rest of the team. :)

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks for your support and encouragement, Terri!

  • http://www.donnamaria.com/ Donna Maria Coles Johnson

It truly is a ridiculously low price, for sure, and what a great program. If you want to build your platform, there is no better person to learn from than Michael Hyatt. If you think he’s open and sharing at his blog, just wait until you have a chance to speak with him more personally via Platform University. You won’t regret it!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks, Donna Maria. What a gracious, generous response. Thank you!

  • http://JonDHarrison.com/ Jon D Harrison

    ok, ok. I give.
    It was inevitable.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

      Awesome. Thanks, Jon.

      • http://JonDHarrison.com/ Jon D Harrison

Not to be contrary, but thank YOU. Meeting you back in March inspired me to launch my site – and listening and applying your podcasts (especially the morning routine) has changed my life for the better. Your request for completed Life Plans lit the needed fire under me to complete my own life plan.
I can’t wait to see where things go from here.

    • http://www.donnamaria.com/ Donna Maria Coles Johnson

      LOL!

  • Tracie Rollins

I’m all in :) I just signed up and immediately listened to the backstage pass on podcasting. I am soaking up all of wisdom packed inside of this fantastic resource. Thanks Michael!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Awesome, Gwen! See you inside the membership.

      • Gwen Bortner

Thanks — I think this is going to be fun!

    • http://JonDHarrison.com/ Jon D Harrison

Awesome Gwen – I was planning on a later date as well, but strike while the iron is $5 less a month!

    • http://www.jmlalonde.com Joe Lalonde

Hope you have fun with the university Gwen. It’s a great resource for platform builders.

      • Gwen Bortner

        Looking forward to it!

Gwen! Your tweet brought me here to check it out! Micheal’s book was on my To Buy list this month, but I had missed the PlatformU, so thanks!

  • Ernie El Lansford

Platform University provides me real world common sense ideas to help me build my platform as prepare for my re-refire/re-purpose launch out of corporate America (Never retire–always re-fire). I watched Michael’s screencast to set up my personal blog over Labor Day. 20 minutes of time well invested. I followed step by step to set up my WordPress blog (I anxiously await the launch of the Get Noticed Theme) in 20 minutes. I highly recommend Platform University as a resource to anyone seeking knowledge to build their personal platform. Ernielansford.biz

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks, Ernie. By the way, as a Platform University member, you can buy the Get Noticed! Theme now if you want. Just send a message to my assistant, Trivinia at trivinia@michaelhyatt.com. Thanks.

      • Ernie El Lansford

Thanks Michael. Will do! Awesome. Now my blog with really excel. Podcast then my book all through Platform University. PU allowed me to connect with Ray Edwards and Cliff Ravenscraft too. Awesome tool for developing my platform with like minded individuals. Cheers EL

    • http://JonDHarrison.com/ Jon D Harrison

      Congratulations on the launch Ernie!

  • Doug Tjaden

Today the “noise” online is intense. Developing trusted sources often takes weeks or months. This is a trusted source for how to get our message out. People are engaged and share ideas and content. It is a team effort to help each other be successful in what God has called us to do. It is a tremendous value, and that isn’t always easy to find today. Great job Michale Hyatt and the Platform team!

  • nlazaris

As a Performance Psychologist, Author and Speaker, I can honestly say that in 30 years of business development I have not received anything near the value I have received since joining Platform University. An amazing amount of practical information and support, combined with a wonderful group of like-minded and forward moving members, has made my membership a no-brainer! Thanks Michael and the Team!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Wow. That is an awesome endorsement. I’m so grateful!

    • http://www.jmlalonde.com Joe Lalonde

That’s quite the endorsement. I bet Michael is thrilled to hear that.

  • http://workoptions.com/ Pat Katepoo

I joined Platform U when it opened in January and check in regularly. My favorite feature so far is the monthly Master Class, but there’s a lot to like overall.

The content is consistently high caliber, not just in practical terms, but in production quality. The forum activity is friendly (bonus: one forum “lurker” booked a negotiation consultation with me) and generous. The overall Platform U vibe is unpretentious–I appreciate that.

  • chutchison

Michael Hyatts’s Platform book was my inspiration to embark on my next “Great Adventure”. So joining the Platform University was a no-brainer for me! It is my “resource library”, my “accountability partner” and my continued inspiration. It is also amazing how small this immense world is! I enjoy the new “connections” with like minded people all over the world. We are all embarking on our next “Great Adventure” together, so please join us!
    -Chip

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks, Chip. I’m glad you are part of our community.

  • http://TrueFocusMedia.com/ Jeff Long

I joined Platform University the week that it was launched and love it. The monthly content from Michael is invaluable and the forums are a GREAT to help others and get your own questions asked. The community is the best around and everyone is able to help. And Michael is a regular commenter within the site. He definitely adds a LOT of value.

I highly recommend joining Platform University.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

      Thanks so much, Jeff!

  • Paul Cruz

Though I am new to Platform University, It is clear to me the personal, and professional benefit you’ll receive, greatly out weighs the small monthly investment. I appreciate the user Forum, It’s a great place to share ideas, discuss challenges, and receive professional feedback from peers. Thank you.

  • http://www.lindalochridge.com/ Linda Lochridge Hoenigsberg

Michael, I have to tell you, being a part of Platform University is more valuable than I can even explain in a comment. This i a real community of extremely giving and caring people. Whenever I have ANY questions about my website, branding, launching, equipment, social media, etc., I can post a question in the forum and know I will get some very thoughtful answers back from folks who know what they are talking about. We help each other and share info. Not only that, but each month’s Masterclass is so great that I literally can’t wait for the next one to appear. There are many other benefits as well. I will probably quit this membership site when the undertaker comes (hopefully in very distant future).

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Wow. Thanks, Linda! This is what keeps us going!

  • Matt Walker

I’d like to ask you a question. I have read many many books/blogs focused in this area by Michael, Ken Davis, Seth Godin, Tim Ferris, Pat Flynn, etc. over the past three years, and I still haven’t quite figured out how this can help me grow my ministry and get to do it full time. Will Platform University actually help? I just want to make sure that I’m a good steward of the money the Lord’s given me and use it in a way that will help me achieve those two goals.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Matt, the short answer is that I don’t know. I would encourage you to try it for a month and see what you think. Worst case: you are out $25. Thanks.

      • Matt Walker

Thanks for your response, Michael! I also appreciated your post today about following what stirs you emotionally. Be blessed, brother.

  • PaulVandermill

    Hi Michael,

I am planning to start my first blog. The ideas you discuss intrigue me and I love your podcast. Thanks for joining me for the yard work and other things. I don’t know where this will take me, maybe a hobby, perhaps more. Do you think it can be too soon to join a community such as Platform University? Thanks and I really admire what you do.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

I’d give it a try for a month and see what you think. You can cancel any time you want. Thanks.

  • Justine Edward

Just joined Platform University. Excited but also secretly terrified. There is SO much I need to learn and I feel a tad overwhelmed! Please tell me someone else felt this way when they started.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Justine, you are totally NORMAL. However, we will help you sort it out at Platform University and focus on what’s important.

      • Justine Edward

        Thanks Michael!

        • http://www.calebstorkey.com/ Caleb Storkey

          Welcome Justine!

          • Justine Edward

Thanks Caleb. I’m really enjoying Platform U. Learning lots about blogging and building an effective and engaging platform. I also love meeting all the other members. So many talented people who are happy to share their experiences and expertise. Very helpful.

          • http://www.calebstorkey.com/ Caleb Storkey

            Excellent!

  • Janice Griswell

Michael, I want to join Platform University, but I have four questions:
    1. I am totally a beginner. Do I need to have a product I’m ready to go public with in order to join?
    2. My husband and I are both interested. Do we need to register separately? What can we do with one membership and what could we do better with two?
    3. We work in another country. Does this pose any membership or access problems?
    4. How much time should one be ready to invest, say weekly, in order to be an active member?
Thanks for your great blog posts and your feedback. I’m hoping to make Thursday’s deadline!

    • Megan Hyatt Miller, Platform U

Janice, though you could access content together with one membership, the real benefit of having a membership for each of you is that it would enable you to create separate user profiles. This makes it possible for both of you to engage with the forum community as individuals and build the relationships that are most helpful to you individual platforms. The forums are one of the most valuable aspects of the membership. You’ll definitely want to get as much as you can from them because the community there is rich with expertise, resources and encouragement for your platform journey. Hope that helps and we look forward to welcoming you to the membership!

      • Janice Griswell

        Thanks, Megan and Michael!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Janice, the answer to #1 is no, you do not. Megan answered #2. #3 is not an issue. I don’t really have an answer to #4. It all depends, based on your purpose, objectives, and audience.
The bottom line is that if thou don’t find value, you can quit. Worst case, you are out a month’s membership. Thanks.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

      Here are my answers:

      1. No. If you already have a product, it’s almost too late.

      2. I agree with Megan below, but you might do the first month yourself and make sure you want that second membership.

      3. This shouldn’t be a problem unless you are in a country that blocks certain sites. Even then, it shouldn’t be an issue.

      4. I can’t answer that one. It all depends on what you want to do.

I would try it for a month and see. Worst case scenario, you waste $25.

      Thanks.

  • RJ Hoff

Michael, I know one of your targets is authors, would this be a useful tool for a freelance writer. I write mainly for magazine and online publication.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

If you need visibility with more potential clients, yes. Thanks.

  • ericvanderhope

    I’ve been a Platform U member since March 2013 . . . & it’s (excuse the term) – freaking fantastic! And no – I’m not exagerrating! ;)

Platform U has helped me get more focused on what my platform is and how I can reach out, communicate and interact with my tribe/audience more effectively.

There are 5 modules that all members have access to: The Master Class, The Backstage Pass, Question & Answer sessions, Member Makeovers & The Forum. I’d really like to explain how all these modules help, but I’m afraid my comments will end up being too long LOL . . . ! Let’s just say that each of these 5 ‘Modules’ provide benefits that are worth their value in GOLD – they all rock! :)

Platform U is the best place to learn how to get more visibility for whatever you are doing, whether it’s for a service, a product, your brand, YOUR message, a book or a cause.

All in all (and I do apologize for making my comments so long), Michael and ‘Team Platform’ have far exceeded my expectations of what I’d initially thought of Platform U. All of the content that is created & shared with the members has always been consistent and relevant for today. I recommend anyone seriously thinking of developing their platform with a solid foundation, that Platform University be their first choice!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks, Eric. I so appreciate your support!

      • ericvanderhope

You are welcome Michael . . . it’s an honor and privilege to get the opportunity of learning from you via this platform! Thanks again. :)

  • coco graham

I have been a member of PlatU since February 2013 and I have been so impressed. It’s the best time and money investment that I have made in myself. I would have joined at an even higher rate. Not only is the content superb, but the connections with other “students” is amazing. I would say that with all that is offered, the value is really priceless!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

      Thanks, Coco. I appreciate that!

  • https://twitter.com/JimClaussen Jim Claussen

Highly recommend Platform U. The team has created a fantastic content structure, supports a vibrant and passionate community who help each other and has given me the support and motivation I have needed to go for it in building my platform. Honestly, Platform (the book) and Platform U, has been the match that has ignited my year. I’m not sure I would have been able to break through fears and doubt if it weren’t for Michael, Stu, Joy, Megan, the whole team and the community.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

      Thanks, Jim. I appreciate that!

  • http://candasbarnes.com/ Candas Ifama Barnes

Hi there! I’m excited to be a new member of Platform U. I’ve been following your blog for several years and have always found the content to be amazingly generous and enormously helpful. From the comments here I can see that the journey with your membership site is highly likely to be the same. Looking forward to learning and growing together. All the best!!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Welcome, Candas. Great to have you aboard!

      • http://candasbarnes.com/ Candas Ifama Barnes

Hi Michael, thanks! I enjoyed looking around last night. I’m at a very exciting time in my writing business and am thoroughly looking forward to making very good use of the wisdom and support here at Platform U. I would love to have found it sooner and yet am trusting that all is in Divine Order.

Do you have recommendations for the best place(s) for a newbie to the site to start? There’s already a lot of GREAT info and I can see as you continue to grow this may become an even bigger question for new folks. Have you considered adding a feature like “Start here” or something like it to your design for the future?

        • Megan Hyatt Miller, Platform U

Candas, thanks for your input. We are actually in the process of creating exactly what you are talking about right now. We hope to roll out the new Start Here section in the very near future. As you mentioned, the goal of this area is to make it easy for new members to find the content that is most relevant to them and dig in quickly. Thanks again and welcome to the membership!

          • http://candasbarnes.com/ Candas Ifama Barnes

Hi Megan, thanks for the VERY prompt reply. That’s great news!! In the meantime, are there suggestions for where to start?

          • Megan Hyatt Miller, Platform U

Depending on your interest, I recommend either the Jeff Goins Master Class entitled “Going Pro” or the Ray Edwards one entitled, “Writing Content People Want People Want to Read.” Of course, the Backstage Passes are also very popular and there are many great ones. One of our most popular ever is the “Creating a Product Workspace,” which takes you inside Michael’s two offices. Lots of fun behind-the-scenes footage there. Enjoy!

          • http://candasbarnes.com/ Candas Ifama Barnes

Thanks. Your response is very helpful. I’m seeking to be mindful to avoid getting seduced into studying rather than implementing. I’ll check them out.

          • Megan Hyatt Miller, Platform U

Candas, that is a good thing to keep in mind. Our Master Classes are all accompanied by study guides and transcripts, which make it easy for you to highlight the things you want to take action on (the teacher will almost always give recommended actions within those classes). It sounds like you are exactly the kind of person who will really benefit from what we have to offer at Platform University.

          • http://candasbarnes.com/ Candas Ifama Barnes

Oh that’s exciting!! I hadn’t discovered those extras. I fully intend to become one of “our” success stories. I am so grateful to be alive “for such a time as this” where all of the visions that have come together to create the technology for us to easily share our messages and live our dreams. Thank you again Megan! All the best to you ;-)

  • Patricia Raybon

In less than a week, my membership has paid for itself. I’m a bona fide introvert. However, every Platform University interaction reminds me that every connection can be genuine, leveraging and strategic–and, therefore, platform-building. Factor in the great Master Classes, Backstage Passes and other offerings and membership just makes sense. A great investment. Or as Warren Buffett would say: “Invest in yourself.” So I did. You can, too.
    http://www.patriciaraybon.com

    • http://michaelhyatt.com/ Michael Hyatt

Thanks, Patricia. I appreciate your endorsement!
