Are You Ready to Start Living Your Life On Purpose?

I am excited to announce the publication of my new e-book, Creating Your Personal Life Plan. This has been several months in the making. I am pleased to unveil it today. In a minute, I’ll tell you how to get a copy FREE—for a limited time.

Creating a Life Plan 3D Cover

As you may know, I wrote a blog post on this topic about three years ago. It is still the single most popular post on my blog. In fact, if you Google the words “life plan,” that original post is the top result.

The e-book is small—only 94 pages—so you can get through it quickly. But it is greatly expanded from my original post. I wanted to create something that would provide you with a step-by-step guide for designing the life you’ve always wanted. It is the exact same process I use in my own life.

Several of my family members and friends suggested that I publish this as a traditional book and sell it. I may eventually do that. But for right now, I am giving it away as A FREE DOWNLOAD to anyone who signs up to receive my blog updates by e-mail. For right now that is the only way to get it.

So far, twenty-two authors and speakers have endorsed it, including John C. Maxwell, Andy Andrews, Max Lucado, Dave Ramsey, Donald Miller, Andy Stanley, and Craig Groeschel. I am extremely grateful for their enthusiasm and support.

If you are interested in snagging a copy, you can visit the special page I have created for this e-book. The page includes:

  1. A short video in which I introduce the e-book
  2. The three reasons why you need a life plan
  3. The four major features and benefits of the book
  4. The twenty-two endorsements I have received so far

I can’t guarantee how long this will be available for free. Therefore, I would encourage you to get it while you can.

If you are ready to re-boot your life, become an active participant in creating your future, and start living your life on-purpose, then this e-book is for you.

P.S. What if you already subscribe via RSS? I would subscribe via email any way. I do this with a handful of blogs, because I know that I will get additional content and offers that I can’t get via RSS. I consider my email subscribers my premium subscribers and will treat them accordingly. You might also want to “Like” the My Life Plan Facebook page.

Question: Does this subject matter of this e-book resonate with you? You can leave a comment by clicking here.

I am an Orthodox Christian who found your blog through AFR. I read the earlier parts of this book that you posted in the past. I work in a secular setting, but I finally found a job at 40 that I believe utilizes my God-given talents and skills. I know that my job will most likely change at some point, and I want to continue to grow in my career. I also want to focus on other aspects of my life that are important as well (God, family, and friends). Thank you so much for this fantastics resource. I already downloaded and printed out my copy.

Does it resonate with me, yes! I am in a transition period in my life and I just feel like I’m floudering. For the first time in my life, I don’t know what I want to be “when I grow up”. Thank you for the free download of the ebook. My husband and I will both benefit from this timely resource, thank you!

    • Brooke

      meant “floundering” ;)

    Dear Michael,
Thank you for this e-book. I just skimmed it a bit and it looks good. I’m looking forward to reading it more fully and implementing it. Also, it Looks good. Maybe you could do a post on how you created it. I would find that very helpful as I am sure others would as well.

    • http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt

Yes, I am planning on that. A lot of people are evidently interested in that.

    Michael –
Thank you for the great resource! I finished the e-book in sitting. It is truly a God send and at the right time in my life.

I am having a bit of an issue with the annual time block. The calendar will not reformat per the instructions in the book.

    Again – Thank You!

    Michael

The key to getting the spreadsheet to work is the following:

      1. The 2009 through 2011 tabs are merely my example plan.
      2. The Template tabe is the one you want to replicate.
      3. Change the year value in cell A5.
      4. Recalculate the spreadsheet.

This will re-spread the weekends and take into account leap years. I hope that helps.

Wow…this is perfect for the season of life I’m in. I’m 27, not yet a mother but working on it, and don’t know if I should step into full time ministry when I become a stay-at-home Mom. My employer teases me about being my personal babysitter while I do both our jobs. The problem is….what do I truly want and is it pleasing to God? My husband is getting ready to explore different career options and we’re hoping to own our first home by the end of this year. Lots going on and we want to keep it honoring God and have peace in our marriage. Thank you for this free offer. Definitely going to pursue it.

It is awesome if you can work on your life plans together. I highly recommend it.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I was smiling and crying while I was reading this ebook. It’s not a hyperbole that it changed my life and how I will think about my actions and thoughts going forward.

    Thank you!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt

Wow. That is awesome. Thanks so much for stopping by to share that.

I need motivation to renew plans now that I’m an unemployed pastor for the first time in 30 years

    • http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt

You have probably heard the old saying, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” I think this is true for planning, too. “When the planner is ready, the opportunities will appear.”

  • Blair

Thanks Michael, really looking forward to reading this ebook.
By the way, my daughter (9 yrs old) loves to read and write. She just finished her storybook and asked me to have it published. Can you let me know what program you used to create your book or any other programs that may be ideal for creating a book. I am looking at making some table top books to give out to friends and family. Many thanks.

    • Blair

      Hi Michael,
Just wondering if you had a chance to take a look at my request?

      Thanks.

      • http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt

It really depends on your technical capabilities and how you want to publish it. I don’t know of a good, short answer. For table-top books with lots of photos, I recommend iPhoto or Aperture (if you want more control).

  • Matt Williams

    Michael,

Thank you for this offer! I am very excited about the opportunity to get your new e-book, especially as I feel like this is a resource that I need.

I have tried subscribing with my email twice, however have not received a confirmation email yet, and it has been almost two hours.

I just wanted to know if traffic is slowing down the process, or perhaps I did something wrong? I am writing because I don’t want to miss this opportunity!

Thanks for all that you do!

You might check your junk mail folder. If it doesn’t show up shortly, email me at michael dot hyatt at gmail dot come. I will send you a link.

    Hi Michael,
I greatly appreciate your site. Over the past couple of days, I have tried to sign up for “Life Plan,” but have never been sent an email confirmation and link to activate my subscription. Please help! Thanks!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt

Gary, generally, this is a result of the email being re-rooted to your junk folder. If you will email me at michael dot hyatt at gmail dot com, I will make sure you are in the database and send you an alternative link. Sorry for the hassle.

I have been coached for almost a year now by a coach with Ministry Coaching International, the sister organization to Building Champions. I can attest to the power of the Life Plan and am so grateful Michale put it into this great e-book. Thank you!

    • http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt

Ministry Coaching International is a great option, especially for those in ministry. I love this organization and the people in it.

I went through this book. It’s really helpful. I read elsewhere that you yourself designed this. Wonderful! Thanks for making this free since I am sure it’s not cheap to be given free. It’s real costly – content-wise!

Thanks for making this available, Michael. It’s been a great help as I’ve been going through my family’s strategic planning.

  • Carolfinalysoncoaching

Michael do you think it would be possible to write an ibook using an ipad and pages.  I googled this but there is so much information and actually your brain is better than google ?

    • http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt

Yes, I do. I have not done this, so I don’t know how difficult it will be. You can select File | Export and then choose ePub as the format. This is the format that Apple and Sony use. You would then have to convert that to the Kindle format and whatever formats you want to support.

If you have a Mac, check out Calibre. I have used that before, and it was very, very simple.

  • Dustin Pringle

    Michael,

I really like the way you have your Priorities listed (1. God, 2. Health, 3. Growth…) and thought that I would just follow your lead when I started creating my personal Life Plan recently.  Only problem is that when I got to the Growth section on my Action Plans I felt kind of stumped and lacked the inspiration and flow of thought that I had with my “God” and “Health” sections.

Would you be willing to allow us to peer into that area of your Life Plan, or perhaps do a blog post about that topic in the future?

    Thanks for this great resource!
