I am on vacation this week, so I am taking a break from blogging. I will resume posting on January 3. In the meantime, I hope you have a happy New Year!
During this week, I am doing a little reading, a little writing, and puttering around the house. How about you?

Mike – enjoy your break. I played most of the month – but now that Christmas is over, kids have gone back home and the fat food has vanished, I’m blazing on clarifying goals and strategies for the New Year. Excited about what 2011 will bring.

Mike!
Same as you, I am enjoying my vacation this week. I am spending my time with my parents and siblings in my native place. Since I work far away from home, I use this time with them consciously. During this week, I am meeting most of my friends and relatives to greet and wish them. I am also able do more reading due to enhanced free time. Most importantly, I am using this week to introspect and review my progress in 2010 and plan for the forthcoming year 2011 (both personal and official goals to achieve).
Have a great time with your family. Wishing you a very prosperous and happy new year 2011.
Regards

Thank you, Michael! I’m catching up on some Office episodes, going to see a movie with a friend, and meeting another friend for breakfast on Friday. I’m also going to work on my new years resolutions tomorrow. In addition, I’ll do some reading and get some errands done. It will be nice to have some time off. Happy New Year!

I’m using this week to launch a new social media campaign with a fellow blogger and build up my blogging queue for next month. It’s been a busy, yet fruitful week.
Hope you enjoy the break and have a Happy New Year!
I have to work the bulk of this week, but have enjoyed some time off to relax and play with family.

We are in Vernon BC ( my in-laws) it is really nice, mountains literally right outside the window and an apple orchard across the street. I wonder if it is still this tranquil if you lived in an environment like this every day. I’m sure i would find a way to add some stress to it

I’m doing a little reading, a little de-decorating, and waiting on our fifth child to decide to arrive. She’s due on January 10! But we hope she’s here before then… :)

Yeah, me too. But I maintain the illusion of online productivity and omnipresence by putting up a re-post on my blog. Lame, I know.
Enjoy your time off. You deserve it, I am certain of that!

Like you, I have taking a mini Social Media fast. I’m not publicly posting any blogs, no Twitter updates, or any other “social media.” I’m enjoying some time to reflect on the year, see what I’ve learned, and what I need to stop doing in 2011.

I finished an article for a parents magazine based in Philadelphia called MetroKids I’ve been interning at. The first piece of journalism I’ve written. Anxiously waiting to hear back from the editor. The rest of the time will be spent with my boyfriend, reading and writing. Enjoy the new year!
During this week, I’ll be spending some quality time with my family, completing a self-assessment, and firming up my 2011 spiritual growth and development plan.
Thanks so very much for sharing your insight and wisdom with me this year. I have really enjoyed learning from you.
Enjoy your break. Happy New Year!

Mike, just curious: do you do all your own graphics and adds for this site, or to you have a team that helps you manage it?
http://michaelhyatt.com Michael Hyatt
It depends. Advertisers do their own graphics. I have done some of the others. I also sometimes use a graphic artist or design firm. Thanks.

Well, it all looks great. Appreciate the input..

A well deserved break for you Michael. I wish you, Gail and your family the happiest of new year. As for me, Trina and I are catching up on some date nights. However, as blogging and writing are my “night jobs”, I am also taking the opportunity to draft many posts and continue work on the books.
A belated merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Mike. Enjoy your break. My wife and I just got back from Seattle, where we had a chance to visit with my daughters family and our new Grandson. I’ve been taking an offline break, but putting some time in designing a new goal setting strategy for the new year. I want to personally thank you for all the time you put in to your site and for the leadership tools and advice you provide. You really have created the best leadership destination on the net. I can’t wait to see what you come up with in 2011!

I’m scrambling to solidify some plans for a last minute trip to Haiti. On the one year anniversary of the ‘quake (Jan 12), there will be a massive prayer gathering in PaP. I’m hoping to jump in with a small video crew and a photographer to help document it and develop a resource for the country. Lots of leg work between now and then!
Well deserved Michael. Thanks for the daily jolt of inspiration and nudging over the past year. Looking forward to reading more from you in 2011. Happy New Year!
Nora
Happy New Year. Hope it’s been a good break for you. For me, it’s been a great holiday time. Christmas was incredible and now I’m set to redefine my goals and set them in motion.
God bless.

I just got back from a 4-day stay in Las Vegas with my husband & son (and teems of other vacationers). Now I’m going to putter for a few days. Lots of reading (kindle & print) mixed in. I will also do some writing.
I will be spending some more time with my family before heading back to Costa Rica. Love that you used the word “puttering” in a sentence. It’s so underused in our language but conveys so much.
