Kindle for Mac

Kindle for MacAmazon has finally released the long awaited Kindle for Mac. I was eagerly anticipating this. However, it is really bare bones. It also says you can highlight text, but I couldn’t figure out how. If Amazon.com is going to compete with Apple, they are going to have to do better than this.

From Amazon’s Kindle for Mac website, it looks like there are still missing features, including highlighting and annotating:

The Kindle for Mac application doesn’t offer the ability to print content. Features not yet available on the Kindle for Mac application include the ability to make notes, highlight or clip text, shop from within the application or search within a book. Text-to-Speech and dictionary look-up are also not available with the Kindle for Mac application.
