Brad Lomenick of Catalyst says that When you are starting something new, “Act like you’ve arrived. No one needs to know you’re just starting. When you’re small, act and think big. When you’re big, act and think small.”

      When companies get big, they sometimes get fat and lazy. Just one example: They aren’t as responsive as used to be when they were small.

    Kind of goes along with “fake it until you make it.” How we see ourselves and the self talk we all have so important!

    extremely timely…needed to hear it.  Good to hear validation that it’s Ok to act “as if” when starting out…at least for me so easy to fall into the beginner mindset and even communicate that unknowingly to people.

    This reminds me of the “Fake it until you make it” quote, except I really like the way Brad elaborated and continued with how to think after you do make it big. Really fantastic quote.
