More Blog Subscription Options for You

If you have been reading my blog for the last week or so, you know that I recently set up a Resources section on my blog. This is a place where I share some of the resources that I have found useful in my personal and professional life. These include books, podcasts, quotes, software, videos, and web tools.

These resource posts are usually not more than a paragraph long. It makes it easy for me to post one or two a day. Some of my subscribers love this sort of thing, but a few have complained. They didn’t like getting so many posts.

So now I have developed an alternative. If you already subscribe via RSS or email, you will continue to receive my full-length posts. These are the ones that I write 3-5 times a week.

However, if you want to receive my shorter, Resource posts, you will need to take a minute to subscribe to the feed. Like my main feed, you can receive this feed via RSS or email.

Here are all four options. Simply click on the ones you want to use:

You can unsubscribe from any of these feeds at any time. If you have any problems, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Disclosure of Material Connection: Some of the links in the post above are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will add value to my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

I like coming to your blog where I can pick and choose what I want to read when I want to read and where everything is in one place. I appreciate your willingness to take time to communicate with us. Thank you again!

Good idea Michael. I'm enjoying the resource posts quite a bit. For the record, I kind of liked getting both in one but am not opposed to your idea and rather like the fact that you are so intentional about listening to the voices of your readership. Great modeling.

    MIchael,

You are tremendously generous with your resources. I found your blog only a few weeks ago and have been passing the word to my circle of influence. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, knowledge, and time with the world–you're a true inspiration. My question is how do you do everything you do with excellence, class, and a personal touch — in 24 hours!

Great idea to split them up! I did notice the increase in posts and wondered about that. I really appreciate your openness in writing this blog. Take care!

I like all you offer on your blog and the new resources are a positive addition. I'm not too busy to pick and choose through them. Thanks for all you put into your blog.

I really liked what you did with Resources. Would it be ok to to consider this for my blogsite. I am a recent WordPress blogger and user. Don't know if there is a plugin for this. I am enjoying your site. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is not a plugin. I hand-coded it myself (with a little help from my frends). You could probably show it to a WordPress coder, and they could replicate it.
