Resource Page: Building Champions Experience 2009
I attended the Building Champions Experience 2009 in Sunriver, Oregon on September 16–19. We had an awesome experience. I only wish that I had brought my wife, Gail, and my executive team from Thomas Nelson. I have vowed to do so next year.
I spoke three times at the event. Several people have asked for my notes and slides, so I thought I would make them available here on this page.
Session 1: “How to Go Further Faster”
Thursday, September 17th at 7:15 a.m.
Building Champions sponsored this breakfast for my Twitter followers and blog readers. They also opened it up to the conference attendees. We had about 80 people attend. I spoke on the topic of “How to Go Further, Faster.” You can click here to download a PDF of my notes.
You can find the original blog post that inspired this talk here.
Session 2: “Effectively Using Social Networking”
Friday, September 18th at 1:15 p.m.
This as the first afternoon breakout session. I spoke on the topic of “Effectively Using Social Networking.” The attendees had a wide range of experience, everything from total novices to experienced bloggers. The conversation was lively and engaging.
You can click here to download my slides. It is an 8MB PDF document. I use Apple Keynote rather than PowerPoint, so I thought a PDF would be the most accessible to everyone. You can also click here for my notes.
The only thing you won’t see in the PDF is the video. However, I have embedded it below.
These are the books I recommended with the Amazon links:
- Tribes by Seth Godin
- Six Pixels of Separation by Mitch Joel
- Trust Agents by Chris Brogan and Julien Smith
- Socialnomics by Erik Qualman
