Recently, I had the opportunity to read an “advance readers copy” (ARC) of Seth Godin’s new book, Linchpin: Are You Indispensable? Admittedly, I am a fan. I have read most of Seth’s books. However, this is my favorite so far. In fact, I would go so far as to say this is the most important book I have read in the last year. In a minute, I will tell you how to get a free copy.
A little over a year ago, we announced the Thomas Nelson Book Review Bloggers program. The purpose of the program was to provide free books to bloggers in exchange for a 200-word review of the book. We don’t require positive reviews. We want bloggers to be honest in their assessment of the books they read.
For the past several months, I have been thinking about starting a mentoring group. As a result, I have bought several books on the topic. However, the best one I have read so far is Mentor Like Jesus by Regi Campbell. In a moment, I will tell you how to get a free copy.
Craig Groeschel is the founding pastor of LifeChurch.tv, a multi-campus church with dozens of weekly services in thirteen locations, including an Internet campus. In his book, It: How Churches and Leaders Can Get It and Keep It [affiliate link], he describes that illusive something that some leaders and organizations have and others don’t. In a moment, I will tell you how to get a copy FREE.
A new documentary, “Lord, Save Us From Your Followers”” opens in theaters today. Gail and I recently watched a prerelease version of the movie. We both loved it. I highly recommend that you see it.
A few weeks ago, we published the novel Green by Ted Dekker. It is the newest book in the Circle Series, which also includes Black, Red, and White. In a minute, I will tell you how to get a free copy of the boxed set, which includes all four hardcover books, or a review copy of Green for your blog.

The Circle Series has become the fan favorite among Ted’s readers. And unlike typical series which reach a peak and taper off, the momentum for this series has only grown in the five years since the first three books were released. This is a testament to the power of a truly great story that works on multiple levels.

If you didn’t read my first post or my second post, you might want to do that first. It will give you the background and context for this third installment in the series.

As you probably know, Don is the author of Blue Like Jazz, a personal memoir that spent more than 40 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list. Unfortunately, that success got him stuck. By his own admission, he went into a funk for months, sleeping in and avoiding us—his publisher.
Next week, we begin shipping Fearless, the new book by mega best-selling author, Max Lucado. In a few minutes, I’ll tell you how to get a copy free.

On the morning of September 15, 2008, I arrived in New York City for a series of meetings on Wall Street. When I got off the plane, I discovered that Lehman Brothers, one of America’s most venerable financial institutions, had filed for bankruptcy. People in the street, on the elevators, and in my meetings seemed stunned. They barely talked. The fear was palpable.
In 2001, we published Wild at Heart by John Eldredge. At the time, the conventional wisdom was that books for men don’t sell. Boy, were we wrong. Since that time it has sold more than 3 million copies. It is still one of my very favorites.

If you walk into the average church, you will notice lots of bored men. For the last several decades, men have been taught that they can’t keep their promises, be spiritual leaders, talk to their wives, or raise their children.
About five years ago, we published Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. It has sold more than one million copies and is consistently one of our top five bestsellers at Thomas Nelson.

A couple of weeks ago, Gail and I had the privilege of attending the Love and Respect Conference in Dallas. It started on Friday evening and ended Saturday afternoon. Emerson and his wife, Sarah, taught it. They are both excellent communicators.
Last year, our book club decided to read The Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. It was one of the best books we read all year. (I also listened to the audio version while I was running.)

The book is the inspiring story of what happens when a wealthy Dallas art dealer and a poor homeless drifter become friends.
I read a lot of books. But when I try to write a book review, I get all academic. For some reason, I feel like I have to write a treatise. So I thought I would try something new: a video book review.

I shamelessly stole this idea from Chris Brogan, one of my favorite bloggers. He frequently does two-minute book reviews—on video. He simply tells you a little bit about the book and what he thought of it. I thought, Perfect! This will work great for me.
