Using Templates for Greater Efficiency

For years, I have used the concept of “templating” to improve my productivity. The idea is that you create a template for any task that you find yourself doing repeatedly. So instead of “reinventing the wheel” every time, you do it once, save it as a template, and then reuse it.

Book Notes: The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber

I have a short list of truly great business books that I have read. One of them is The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber. This book literally changed my life. It is the first book I recommend to people who are thinking about starting a business.

If you are reading this post via email or an RSS
reader and can’t see this video, then click here.

In the book, Michael covers three big ideas:

  1. The entrepreneurial myth
  2. The turn-key revolution
  3. The business development process

If you are going to succeed in business, it is critical that you understand—and implement—all three.

Question: Have you read Gerber’s book? What impact did it have on you?

I have blogged on this topic previously. However, it has been almost two years. Since that time, my list has changed. Only four of the previous ones are on the new list. However, all twenty (the previous list and this one) are excellent.
