You’re Invited Backstage to the Chick-fil-A Leadercast

As I have written before, I will be attending the Chick-fil-A Leadercast on May 7, 2010. This is a one-day leadership event that will take place in Atlanta, Georgia and will be broadcast to 500 host locations throughout the country via satellite or internet downlink. They are expecting nearly 70,000 attendees, between the live site in Atlanta and the rest of North America.Backstage Pass to Chick-fil-A Leadercast

Since the time I first blogged about it, GIANT Impact, the company producing the event with Chick-fil-A, has asked me to host “Backstage Leadercast.” I will be in the “Green Room,” interviewing the speakers as they come and go. This will be broadcast on the Web before the event, during the breaks, and after the event.

I will be talking with:

You can read some of the testimonials of previous attendees here.

The Chick-fil-A Leadercast is still looking for a few more host churches to participate in this event. If you are a pastor, church staff member, or lay leader, this is a great way for your church to reach the business leaders in your community. Specifically, it will enable you to:

  • Invite people into your church that might otherwise never darken the door
  • Build relationships that will create opportunities for significant, spiritual conversations after the event
  • Become the church known for speaking to the needs of the local business community
  • Offer relevant leadership training for business leaders in your city
  • Generate alternative revenue

You can find out more about becoming a host site by clicking here. Just for requesting more information, they will give you a free John C. Maxwell audio lesson and fill-in-the-blank notes, entitled, “Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway.”

If you want to attend the in-person event in Atlanta, you can get $10 off the registration price by clicking here and entering the priority code HYATT.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Man! Why do they keep scheduling these when I have a conflict! Such a great lineup.

I won't be able to make it, but I'm going to talk to my church about co-sponsoring the simulcast with my company.

    Thanks for the heads up!

How do you get these gigs, Mike? This is one of the best lineups of authors and speakers I've ever seen. Each one of those people on your list has made a profound difference in my life. Ben Carson taught me how to take a risk. Chip heath and his brother taught me the six principles of sticky presentations. Mark Sanborn's book was given to all the administrators at our district leadership advance. Maxwell has so many books on my shelf that it is sagging, and Jim Collins helped me see that good enough… isn't.

Unfortunately the closest current venue is 65 miles away. I'll have to talk to our church leadership about bringing this presentation to San Diego County. After all, my wife and I attend one of the largest video based churches in Southern California (North Coast Church).

Thanks for updating us on this great opportunity.

BTW… If you should need help with this… I am available that weekend. :-)

My church is hosting this and I plan to attend. Looking forward to hearing from this exceptional group of people – especially Ben Carson, love his books. And you get to talk to many of them – nice!

This is a great opportunity! Thanks for letting everyone know – and HOW AWESOME for you! Cannot wait to read your posts from there.

What a terrific lineup of speakers and a great idea. Chick-a-Fill lives the Gospel message in business and is a great inspiration for entrepreneurs. I look forward to reading about the event, Michael. The leadership lessons of Jim Collins and John Maxwell combined with the story and role model of Ben Carson are incredible. Thanks for sharing this, and have fun!

My husband turned me on to @GaryVee a few months back and he can't say enough about the audio version of Crush It (minus the harsh language). I'd really like to read it, so if I receive a copy, it will be moving to the top of my must read list.

Although I won't be able to attend the Leadercast either in Atlanta or any other location (I'll be teaching), I know I will benefit from the speakers through you. I learn so much by coming here–things not only for myself and for my writing, but also things that help me in my classroom. You freely share from your own experiences and thus, you have given me access to a world that was closed to me before. So, I am looking forward to what you have to share from your hosting gig. Have a great time!

This will be a great event! I've seen several of the participants before but would love to see them again. I am buying the new book by Chip Heath and Ben Carson is a hero in my eyes. I made my daughter read his books, Gifted Hands and Think Big. Sounds like a road trip to Atlanta.

As a pastor, particularly when working with our youth group, I'm amazed at the LACK of passion in this current generation. I'm not sure if they feel like their passion might offend someone, or if they just really haven't found anything to get excited about, or maybe no one's given them permission to dream big. Whatever the reason, the lack of passion is palpable. So I'm working hard to show our students how important passion is. I'm giving them permission to dream, and dream big. I'm challenging them to crush it! I'd love to have a copy of this book to help me in my teaching time.

We're hosting it at my church here in Jacksonville, FL. (Christ’s Church). About to launch our web page and ticket sales this week. Excited! I just talked to one of the most successful sites for the event. A group out of Arkansas that has been putting on the event for many years and gets a great turn out each year. They have some great example info up at (if other host sites want to take a look at example sponsor packages, etc).

I LOVE that you will be the backstage host! In, fact it gives me a great idea to incorporate that also within our host site. I'm going to stream you in and show your info at the host site location too! Will be an extra "behind the scenes" treat for attendees. Where will you be backstage from? Special backstage site URL?

    • Michael Hyatt

Daniel, I don't know these details yet. Perhaps you could check with Giant Impact who is producing the event.

I'm in and taking a group with me. Thanks for the reminder.

I would like this book because I have never heard of using social media as a business. Ok, so what if I have been sheltered, naive to societal reality that social media probably has the strongest "fan" or consumer base than probably any other line of "products" if you will. I need this book and not because of a chance to get one free. I have written all my life, started a book, have been told I am good with words, quick on y feet. I haven't found that niche to make it happen. This book could help me get in where I fit in. :) About 5 years ago I re-entered the work force after being a stay-at-home mom for 10yrs. If someone had told me I committed career suicide I would probably would have shortened my stay. I love my kids but it is now time for me. :)

*Please* give me a copy. This morning reawakended the reality that I live a love/hate relationship with my vocation. I know there's hope, and I can taste the words spilling out to be written and spoken – but, I could really use* a spark from Gary. Find someone who better deserves this book? Then give it to them
