I’m not sure if you noticed, but something amazing just happened in the world of publishing. And I think it’s a sign we all could benefit from noticing. When book designer Adam Lewis Greene decided to create a better Bible, he didn’t do it the way most publishers do. He didn’t commission a new translation. […]
This is a guest post by Joseph LaLonde. He is a youth leader at Oak Crest Church of God and a leadership blogger. You can read his blog and follow him on Twitter. When I began writing my blog, I wanted to reach everyone. Young, old, and anyone in-between. Choosing everyone as my audience seemed […]

Writing is lonely but fascinating work. That’s why I love talking to other writers, especially accomplished ones like my good friend, Max Lucado. I had the privilege of being his publisher for many years. As you probably know, Max is the author of almost 100 books with more than 80 million copies in print. There […]
My first experience with crowd-sourced design was four years ago. I sponsored a contest to design a new logo for my blog. I paid $200 and received 280 entries in seven days. I am still using that design to this day, albeit tweaked a bit since the original. Since then, I have sponsored three design […]
Last week, I ran a contest on 99Designs to have a cover designed for my new ebook, The Virtual Assistant Solution: Come Up for Air, Offload the Work You Hate, and Focus on What You Do Best.
After three days, I chose five finalists and asked my readers to select their favorite. More than 2,700 people voted. What you see here is the winning design (with a few tweaks), created by Niels van Londen from the Netherlands.
I’ll tell you more about the book when it is available for sale next week, but I wanted to share the results with you here.
I have a written a new eBook called, The Virtual Assistant Solution: Dig Out from the Pile, Offload the Work You Hate, and Focus on What You Do Best. It is based on what I have learned in the last two years about building virtual teams. It will be available for sale in the next […]

In a moment, I’ll tell you how to get a free copy. John has been my friend and mentor since I first started working with him […]
Tomorrow marks the publication of The Noticer Returns by my good friend, Andy Andrews. The original book was a New York Times bestseller and one of my favorite books ever. I gave cases of it away. This one is sure to be just as popular. In a moment, I’ll tell you how to get a […]
Watch this touching video The Power of Words, to see how changing just a few words can make a dramatic difference in your life and in the lives of those around you.
Question: Can you think of a time when words have had a major impact on you or on those around you?
Admit it, you’ve thought about writing a book. According to a recent reader survey, 61.5% of my blog readers have thought about writing a book. Is it time for you to stop thinking and start doing? Being a published author has done more for my career—and my income—than I could have ever imagined. It has […]
