All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

  1. Hello Michael;

    I love that quote, always have.  I want to thank you for your book.  I read it straight through.  Now I am reading again, but this time with a notebook and pen.  I will also order another copy for my web guy right after I finish this comment.  On second thought, I can think of a couple of people I am going to order a copy for and see if it impresses them as much as it did me.  I bet I won’t waste my money.  If you get a few minutes listen to my dream.  The world’s only 24/7/365 Storytelling Radio Station, on the internet at radio.  Last August 2nd, 2011; we launched (we… ha ha… me) dead last in the franchise at #5,690.  Today, we finished the work at #20 in the Talk Radio Genre and # 864 of > 7,000 against all station genre’s.  The station is heard in 110 countries in the last 30 days has had almost 6,000 hours of stories streamed around the world.  I have a vision…  I needed a guide… Thank you for writing this book… Platform.

    I am professional storyteller and I wanted a world wide platform for my artist friends all 1,977 of them.  I also own and part of my trials have been the inability to pull all the strings together and focus my energy on the big picture.  Your book Platform has done that for me.  I have plenty of work to do, I am not afraid.  I thank you again for this amazing book.

    Check out my station and if it pleases you, drop me a note.

    Thanks again

  2. Great quote…haven’t read that one before. Seems to fit well with the idea of building your own platform and working to make your reality what you want it to be. Great things don’t happen to people, they are made.

  3. Hi Michael,

    I have really appreciated the content you put out and has been helpful on multiple levels.  This is good stuff about leadership beginning at home.  If we can’t lead our homes then how great of a leaders are we really especially in the eyes of God.

    I have recently started a blog that will have content about the pursuit of being an excellent husband, father and leader. One aspect is going to be interviews with men who have experience to speak from.

    Would you be willing to do an interview with me for the blog.  With you having 5 daughters I would love to get your thoughts on how you invested in them so they get attention when there are so many.  I think you would also have some great thoughts on fathering daughters.

    Thanks for considering this.

    God Bless,
    Wade Harris
